The fee schedule

Simple math, shown before you decide

For a state unclaimed-property claim, the fee comes out of the recovered funds — never out of your pocket first.

What the agreement shows

Your exact gross amount, fee percentage, fee amount, and net amount are displayed before you sign. If the claim does not pay, there is no fee.

CLAIM REQUIREMENTS

The total and property type determine notarization.

The examples below assume ordinary cash property and a complete, verified claim. The threshold applies to all cash properties included in the claim, not to our fee or your expected net payment. Securities, safe-deposit-box contents and claim-specific instructions need separate review.

*The SCO's July 2025 Investigator Handbook requires notarization at $10,000 or more in total cash properties, and at any value for securities or safe-deposit-box claims. Examples show a 10% fee before any state offsets; they do not guarantee recovery or payment timing. Read the SCO's investigator requirements.

SIGNATURES AND DOCUMENTS

What you may need to provide.

The SCO requires notarization when the total value of cash properties in a claim is $10,000 or more. Securities and safe-deposit-box claims require notarization at any value. A cash-only claim below $10,000 still requires the claimant's wet signature and supporting documents. We review the official form's instructions with you; conflicting or unclear requirements need clarification before submission.

The investigator agreement does not itself require notarization.
